Rain washes out Friday activity: Qualifying for American 200 set for Saturday morning, race to take green flag at noon

Rockingham, N.C. (November 4, 2011) - Lingering rain showers on Friday cancelled all on-track activity and postponed CARS Pro Cup and UARA Late Model qualifying for the American 200 until Saturday morning at Rockingham Speedway.

"Since we didn't have any practice today, we are going to hold a practice session for each series beginning at 8:30 in the morning," said Rockingham Speedway President Andy Hillenburg. "Qualifying will follow at 9:45. Our fans that come out for the American 200 are going to have a full day of racing."

The green flag for the UARA 75-lap portion of the American 200 drops at noon with the CARS Pro Cup race to begin 30 minutes after the conclusion of the UARA race. Both series will be crowning their 2011 champion at Rockingham.

Great seats are still available for the American 200 at Rockingham Speedway. Tickets are $20 at the gate.

After the American 200, the Frank Kimmel Street Stock Nationals (FKSSN) hit the one-mile oval on November 26 for the fourth-annual Polar Bear 150.

NASCAR returns to Rockingham on April 15, 2012 for the Camping World Truck Series Good Sam Club Roadside Assistance 200.
